Klopp Hopeful Of Coutinho Return

Jurgen Klopp has announced today that Philippe Coutinho is making good progress ahead of his return, after he left the pitch with a dead leg in Monday’s game against Watford at Vicarage Road.

“We cannot be 100% sure, but in this moment it looks rather positive

“Yesterday was his first day running, he looked a little bit like John Achterberg! ”

Liverpool fans were growing with fear as he was substituted in just the 13th minute, and after going off; was displaying a perpetual, grimacing face, suggesting that he was in great discomfort.

The Brazilian midfielder has already endured a spell on the side-lines this season, which cost the Reds dearly. Coutinho was ruled out shortly before the gruelling winter fixtures and was absent for nearly two months.

Liverpool fans will be hoping that the former Inter Milan player will be back and firing on all cylinders this weekend. This wishful thinking is relevant  more so than ever, due to the fact that in recent weeks Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana, and Sadio Mane have all been blighted with injuries, which has  consequently drained Liverpool of their fluidity recently.
